Privacy & Terms for GOYAB

1. Introduction

GOYAB ("we", "us", or "our") is an offline-first personal content library application — Save anything. Find it instantly. — that lets you save, tag, and rediscover links, videos, articles, and any other web content from a single place. GOYAB is operated by the GOYAB development team.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the GOYAB mobile application and any associated backend services (collectively, the "Service"), how we use that data, and the rights you have over it. By using GOYAB you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you use the Service:

Usage data

• URLs you choose to save and the associated page titles
• Tags and categories assigned to saved items (by you or by our AI tagging feature)
• Timestamps of save, edit, and delete events
• Platform type of saved content (e.g. YouTube, Instagram, web article)

Device identifiers

• An anonymous, randomly generated device ID stored only in your device's secure keychain — this ID does not identify you personally
• Operating system version and device model (for compatibility diagnostics)
• App version number

Interaction data

• Search queries entered within the app
• Reminder times you set for saved items
• Collection names you create

Technical data

• IP address associated with API requests
• Server-side request logs (endpoint, HTTP status, timestamp)
• Response times and error codes for service reliability monitoring

GOYAB does not download, store, cache, or transmit any video, audio, or image binary from any platform. Thumbnail images are loaded on-demand by your device directly from the originating platform's CDN; no media file is ever transferred to or stored by our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the GOYAB Service and its core features
• To power AI tagging and content analysis — your saved URLs and page titles are sent to our server-side language model to generate descriptive tags and categories
• To generate anonymised analytics and service metrics that help us understand feature usage and diagnose performance issues
• To send reminders — only when you explicitly enable reminder notifications for a saved item; we never send unsolicited push notifications
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
• To comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell personally identifiable information (PII) to any third party for their own marketing or advertising purposes — ever.

We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers and infrastructure partners — we engage cloud hosting providers, database providers, and similar vendors who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements and solely to deliver the Service to you.
• Subsidiaries and affiliated companies of GOYAB — for operational, product, and engineering purposes. Data shared with subsidiaries is subject to appropriate contractual protections and this Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority, we may share information as necessary to comply with such obligations or to protect the rights and safety of GOYAB, its users, or the public.

Aggregated or anonymised data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be shared with partners, published in reports, or used for research without restriction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by applicable law. Your saved items, tags, and collections are stored locally on your device; cloud-synced info are retained on our servers and you can you request deletion of those data.

6. Security

We apply industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and strict access controls on our servers.

However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device software up to date and to contact us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request erasure of your personal data
• Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection — object to certain processing activities

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of GOYAB after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the GOYAB application or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and GOYAB.

2. Description of Service

GOYAB is an offline-first personal content library that lets you save URLs, articles, videos, and other web links; automatically tag and categorise them using on-device or server-side AI analysis; organise them into collections; set reminders; and search your entire library locally and semantically — all without a mandatory account.

Cloud sync is entirely opt-in. You may use the full core functionality of GOYAB indefinitely without creating an account or connecting to our servers. Cloud backup and cross-device sync features require opting in via Settings.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to save, distribute, or promote illegal content
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or run automated requests against the GOYAB API at a volume or frequency that could impair service availability for other users
• Share your account credentials or device authentication tokens with third parties
• Use the Service in any manner that could harm GOYAB, its users, or third parties
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure

4. Content Ownership

You own your content. The URLs, notes, tags, collection names, and any other content you save or create within GOYAB remain yours at all times. GOYAB claims no ownership over your saved links, annotations, or personal data.

By using cloud sync features, you grant GOYAB a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and transmit your content solely as necessary to provide the Service. This licence terminates when you delete the content or your account.

5. Intellectual Property

The GOYAB application, its source code, design, user interface, branding, and all related materials are the proprietary intellectual property of GOYAB and its licensors, protected by copyright and other applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use GOYAB's name, logo, or trademarks without our prior written consent.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully to understand our data practices.

7. Third-Party Services and Platforms

GOYAB enables you to save content originating from third-party platforms including, but not limited to, YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), Reddit, and other web services. Your use of content from those platforms is subject to each platform's own terms of service and community guidelines. GOYAB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for any third-party platform.

GOYAB does not download, host, or redistribute any media from third-party platforms. It stores only the URL and associated metadata. Opening saved items redirects you to the original platform via a system deep link.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not guarantee that any content saved through the Service will remain accessible at its original URL.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GOYAB and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, profits, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may stop using the Service and, if applicable, delete your account from the Settings screen. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, with or without prior notice.

Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the application. Cloud-synced data will be deleted from our servers within 90 days of account deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice, without written notice, and without any obligation to inform you of such changes. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted at this URL.

Your continued use of the Service after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside or, where not determinable, the laws of a mutually agreed competent jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction.
